Thermal Regulation for Aftercoolers and Oil Coolers |
The Screw Compressor Fan is a critical cooling component responsible for maintaining the thermal equilibrium of the entire system. In air-cooled rotary screw compressors, the fan pulls or pushes large volumes of ambient air across the Combi Cooler (oil cooler and aftercooler) to dissipate the heat generated during the compression process. Depending on the model and efficiency requirements, these fans can be either axial (propeller-style) or centrifugal (blower-style) and are often controlled by the compressor’s central logic (like the Atlas Copco Elektronikon or Kaeser Sigma Control) to vary speed based on real-time temperature demand.
